LIBRARY
Our library provides a warm, safe and welcoming environment for everyone in our school community, and is open to students and staff throughout the school day.
Our collection
The library has a broad and diverse collection, catering for readers at all year levels with varied interests and abilities. Our resources foster reading for pleasure and support teaching and learning across the curriculum.
Borrowing books
- Students can borrow up to four books at a time. The loan period is for three weeks. If students would like to have them for longer, books can be renewed by the librarian. Books are returned to the library return slot.
- Students may reserve books through the librarian. We also love students’ book requests. Students can write their requests in our ‘Book requests’ notebook at the issuing desk.
- Overdue notices are emailed to students each fortnight.
- Books that are more than three months overdue may be assumed lost and the replacement cost may be charged. Come and talk to the librarians if you are struggling to find a book. They usually turn up in a classroom/bedroom, or they might be back on the shelf due to human error.
- If books are returned in unhygienic or irreparable condition the replacement cost is charged.
